Hi, I’m James Yoder. Here’s a little bit about me, and why I started Green Acres Fencing.
As an employee at a local business that builds portable sheds, I worked hard every week building sheds indoors. Since I worked largely solo, and because a lot of my job was fairly routine, I had a lot of time to think. What are my long term goals?
I’ve been a husband since early 2021 and a dad since mid-2022. My vision was to have a family owned business that would create an opportunity for my future sons and I to work together. What business should I start? I considered my options.
In the fall of 2022, I was walking the perimeter fences of our 35 acres. As I walked, I became increasingly aware that a lot of the fencing needed to be updated. What should I do about it?
It then struck me that farm fencing could be the answer for our family owned business. In the weeks that followed, I researched the possibilities. The more I learned about the fencing industry, the more I became convinced that this was the answer for us; and in the summer of 2023, Green Acres Fencing was born.
I now enjoy the fact that every customer’s project gives me opportunity to work outdoors. I appreciate a job well done, and I’m excited about providing every customer with a better fence than they could have hoped for.
When I’m not out working or spending time with my family, you might find me hunting Whitetails or turkeys. You might also find me involved with some type of livestock.
